Hi, I’m Katie.

In 2010, I was working at a hotel bar in downtown Missoula, Montana. We wanted to get more locals in on the weeknights, so I started a trivia night that took off immediatley. I loved it and was great at it, and within a year I was hosting trivia three nights a week. In 2012, I started burning my games onto CDs and sending them to a bar in Bozeman, where one of their bouncers hosted the game, and that took off! That bar, The Molly Brown, plays Trivium every Wednesday night to this day.

I began establishing partnerships around Montana and now, the game is played at bars, breweries, cideries, wine bars, and community centers in eleven states and growing.

I absolutely love researching, writing, and creating these games. I pick up on trivia everywhere and love to turn interesting information into answerable trivia questions that are conversation-inspiring and that teach people things.

My trivia journey started organically and continues to grow so. The Trivium system is simple, effective, and has been refined throughout the years; it works for me and it works for others. I’d love to have you on board!

Trivia Night Is Good For People.

I like to say “Everybody wins!” because there are no downsides to trivia night.

There’s plenty of research on the health benefits of trivia night. Playing trivia engages the frontal cortex, supports cognitive and brain development, and expands our decision-making capabilities. Correctly answering trivia questions makes us feel good by giving our brains hits of dopamine. Trivia night reduces stress, brings people together, and straight up makes us smarter.

Trivia night is the perfect opportunity to put our phones down, put our heads together, collaborate, and compete.

Trivia night is a fantastic place to meet people and to nuture existing bonds.

There’s nothing I don’t love about trivia night— it’s not even bad for the environment!
