Your New Trivia Gig

As a weekly Trivium trivia night host, you can:

  • Realistically earn $500+/month, right away

  • Expect to spend maximum 4-5 hours a week total on the gig, once it’s established

  • “Break out” in your community and build your social and professional network (in real life!)

  • Learn stuff!

  • Express your creativity. Open your throat chakra!

  • Have a side gig that actually brings a lot of value to your life rather than wears and tears you down

Starting your own gig as a trivia night host with the Trivium program has the potential to bring value and enjoyment to your life, for years.

People Freaking Love Trivia.

People Freaking Love Trivia.

Where do you live? Chances are, there’s a bar or a brewery there that would absolutely love to have a smart, low-maintenance trivia night that attracts quality customers, and that blows up one of their weeknights.

But the labor shortage is real, and they often don’t know where to start or “who’s going to do it.” Until one day, in walks you. Venue owners and managers are often eager to say YES and take a chance on someone that’s enthusiastic, organized, and has a plan for a good idea.

If you’re motivated to start a weekly gig, I’m happy to help you identify a venue in your area and convince them them to give it a go. With a Trivium partnership, everyone wins— me, you, the venue, and your community!

So many benefits of being a trivia night host…

Being a weekly trivia night host is kind of the ideal side gig.

When you’re using Trivium content, there’s very little prep-work each week. Besides reading through the questions, printing out some pages, and maybe making some social media posts, there’s not much time you need to spend on the gig besides the couple of hours each week you’re actually at trivia night.

Trivia night isn’t physically taxing and causes zero wear and tear on your body or your property— for instance, your car.

Some side-gigs are isolating, monotonous, and mind-numbing. Trivia is anything but! Trivia night is social, different every time, and makes you smarter! Being the trivia night host builds confidence and helps you practice your leadership and public speaking skills.

INVITE OPPORTUNITY INTO YOUR LIFE….

When you’re the trivia girl or the trivia guy, you’re “putting yourself out there” and people want to meet you and know you! They want to hire you for private events like their husband’s 40th birthday party and the company holiday party. They want you to DJ their backyard wedding and emcee the foodbank fundraiser. If you’re single, they might want to date you! Trivia night attracts a wide variety of people and is a guaranteed way to build and strengthen your social and professional networks!

What Trivium Does:

  • Supports you while you get started. Your success is my success; I’ll do everything I can to make sure you hit the ground running. I’m 100% on your team and here to help in all the ways.

  • Writes high quality trivia questions and categories that will entertain and educate you and your audience week after week.

  • Makes things easy— just log in once a month, download the latest Trivium games (four weeks at a time), and call it a day. Or call it a month rather.

  • Gives you access to the Trivium Host Handbook- written by yours truly and containing everything you need to know about hosting trivia night and then some, based on my personal experience hosting more than 1,400 trivia nights.

  • Encourages you to personalize the game, express yo’self, add your own flair, and make your trivia night whatever you want it to be.

  • Gives you 50% off the first month so you’ll pay only $75 for the first four weeks.

What Trivium Doesn’t Do:

  • Hire you or require you to follow a strict program.

  • Secure a venue for you. I’m more than happy to help you from afar but ultimately, it’s your town and important that you “click” with your venue.

  • Require you to report back in any way with trivia night results or pictures– no emailing/social media/tagging requirements, etc. By all means do your own social media promotion, but no need to do it on behalf of Trivium.

  • Set limits on how much you can make. Depending on location and venue, some hosts in time charge $300+ for trivia night. Even higher rates can be charged for private events that are likely to come your way– company parties, holiday parties, birthdays, graduations, etc.

  • Make you commit– I’m only interested in mutually beneficial partnerships. You can cancel anytime for any reason… but I’m hopeful you won’t!

The biggest investment is your time– finding a venue, familiarizing yourself with the game, promoting the event.

Once the gig is up and running, it’s quite low-maintenance, and just gets easier and more fun as the weeks go on and you find your rhythm. I continuously provide fun, fresh Trivium games and you present them in whatever way works fantastically for you, your venue, and your audience. Every trivia night is different and there’s no wrong way to do it!

Trivium works in:

  • Sports bars
